Religion
The peoples of Lotherria have many religions and/or spiritual beliefs that guide how they choose to live their lives in a society, or, for those who live in the wilds, a personal code of conduct. However, there is no true correct religion. It isn't even a matter of what is technically right in in the Lotherrian mythologies.

You see, Lotherria is a main world, which is Lotherria proper. However, there is also a collection of realms. Inferna is such a realm. It is the realm of demons (good or bad), and these demons can come into Lotherria to wreak havoc, find lovers, or work deals. Inferna is also known as a realm of realms, as, within it, is a collection of Undereworld realms that fit with the beliefs of the peoples of Lotherria. Inferna is not the only place this occurs. There are also spiritual realms all over Lotherria that separate spirit from corporeal.

As stated before, no religion is wrong, and no religion is inherently correct, either. The religious/spiritual paths are creations of their creators, i.e. the peoples of Lotherria. For instance, if a group of peoples decided to start a new religion, their faith in that religion would fuel the creation of subrealms in which these deities and spirits would exist accordingly...in spirit with the very rare chance of interaction. The more faith given, the more powerful those entities' existence and the more likely for a tangible interaction, though still very rare. Most interactions with the deities or spirits are in the minds of the faithful due to some psychological happenings. So, a person prone on a battlefield, they may see a god or goddess comforting or beckoning them, maybe even hear them speak. This could just be their desperate minds looking for comfort or determination. However, there is a chance that the entity is strong enough to come to that person of their choosing. It's very complicated and a matter of philosophical and spiritual debate not many are willing to have, be it in Lotherria or our world.

Inferna often plays as a host realm to multiple underworld realms where the dead are said to go and be ruled over by different entities. As such, every one of those realms do exist within Inferna. What exists there may be tangible but also may simply be a spiritual mental phenomenon. Inferna itself certainly has its demonic creatures that leak into Lotherria as real creatures to face. The same can be said of the Fae. However, Underworld realms and subrealms under them (where souls are separated based on deeds, behaviors, and conditions) are created through faith. So, the Drachoni underworld is just as real as the Skorvid underworld or any peoples' underworld. Also, this can occur for heavenly realms where some believe their souls ascend rather than descend.

Ancient pantheons and roles can also be updated. Using the Drachoni as an example again, the subraces each had their own religious beliefs when they were their own peoples. Now that they live in united empires, all of the deities have been reformed and repurposed to some degree so that all Drachoni can worship a united pantheon. In a mixed-race location, multiple beliefs may be practiced or the location may try to reform a whole new pantheon with the beliefs the citizens bring to the table. As such, the realms would either be updated, or a new one born. However, it should be noted that these realms, while real in their own existence, does not translate into any of it being scientific truth in Lotherria's history. Religion is still just belief while the scientific truth of Lotherria is what it is, and sometimes, that does mean the two can come into conflict just as it does in our world.
